The Importance of Being Sovereign

Sovereignty is more than knowing what to do. It is knowing who you are, and trusting that, no matter what is happening around you.

There is a question underneath almost every question I have ever been asked. In more than twenty years of sitting with people, beneath the questions about relationships and callings and crossroads, there is one quiet ache: Can I trust myself?

We were not taught to. Most of us were raised to look outward. To ask the teacher, the parent, the expert, the crowd. To weigh every opinion before honoring our own. Somewhere along the way, the outward glance became a way of life, and the voice within, the one that was right all along, got quieter and quieter beneath the noise.

Sovereignty is the return of that voice.

Unplugging from the delusion of separateness

Here is what I have come to know, both as an Oracle and as a woman walking her own path: the fear that runs our lives is built on a single illusion, the belief that we are separate. Separate from each other. Separate from Love. Separate from the intelligence that moves through all things.

When we believe we are separate, we believe we are small. And when we believe we are small, we hand our authority to anything that seems bigger: another person's certainty, the opinion of the room, the fear of what might happen next.

But separateness is a delusion. You have never been apart from the Source of your own knowing, not for one moment of your life. The connection cannot be lost. It can only be forgotten.

Sovereignty begins the moment you remember.

Overcoming fear by finding your own voice

Fear speaks first and loudest. It always has. The voice of truth is quieter, steadier, and it does not argue. It simply knows.

Learning to be sovereign is learning to tell these two voices apart. Fear contracts. Truth settles. Fear demands an answer right now. Truth is patient, because it is not going anywhere. Fear asks, what will they think? Truth asks only, what is real for me in this moment?

Every time you pause, breathe, and lean into what feels true for you in this moment, you are practicing sovereignty. Not once and forever, but moment by moment, choice by choice. That is the practice. There is no other.

Freedom for the mind, wide open space for the heart

Sovereignty is freedom for the mind. When you stop outsourcing your knowing, the endless loops of second-guessing simply lose their fuel. The mind becomes quiet, not because you forced it, but because it is no longer waiting for permission.

And sovereignty is a wide open space for the heart to express its true purpose. This is the part no one tells you. We think self-trust is about making better decisions. It is really about becoming a clear channel for the love you came here to give. A sovereign heart does not spend its life defending itself. It spends its life giving itself.

That is what becomes possible when you are no longer at war with your own knowing.

Becoming the Oracle of your own life

I call this becoming the Oracle of your own life, and I mean it literally. An Oracle is simply one who listens within and trusts what they hear. That capacity is not rare. It is not reserved for the gifted few. It is your birthright, and it has been waiting for you the whole time.

You do not need another voice telling you what to do, not even mine. My deepest hope, in all of my work, is that you need me less, because you have learned to hear yourself more.

The answers you seek are already within you.

Let this be the season you start listening.

With love,Sabrina
